As the school holidays come to an end, we’re rounding off another fantastic month of Akwaaba Vacation Classes!
While the children have been enjoying their summer break, we’ve been keeping them busy with a month packed full of learning, creativity, sport and plenty of fun.
Throughout the programme, the children have had the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, including story time, IT classes, vocational skills, puzzles and games, swimming and art classes.
Each day has brought something different — giving the children the chance to learn new skills, discover new interests and, most importantly, try things they may not normally have the opportunity to experience.
Learning beyond the classroom
Our vacation classes are about much more than keeping the children busy during the holidays. They provide a safe and engaging space where children can continue learning while developing their confidence, creativity and practical skills.
From getting creative in art class to developing digital skills in the IT centre, trying their hand at vocational activities or simply working together on puzzles and games, there has been something for everyone.
And, of course, there has been plenty of time for fun along the way!
A huge thank you to our volunteers
We couldn’t have delivered such a varied and exciting programme without the help of our amazing volunteers.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us over the summer months, helping with everything from planning activities to delivering classes and getting involved with the children.
Your time, energy and enthusiasm have helped make the summer a memorable one for so many of our children.
As another month of Vacation Classes comes to an end, we’re incredibly proud of everything the children have learned, experienced and achieved.
Lots of fun, lots of learning and lots of new opportunities — exactly what summer should be! 💙
