This month marked a major milestone for our Year 9 students as they completed their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and officially graduated from Junior High School.
For months, the students have worked tirelessly, balancing classes, revision sessions, and exam preparation. Their commitment, resilience, and determination have been inspiring to witness, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they have achieved.
The completion of the BECE represents more than just the end of a school year—it’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter. As they prepare to take their next steps towards Senior High School, these young people carry with them the knowledge, confidence, and experiences that will help shape their futures.
We would also like to give a special congratulations to the eight students supported through Akwaaba’s sponsorship programme. Watching these students grow over the years has been incredibly rewarding, and we are excited to continue supporting them as they pursue their dreams and ambitions.
A Well-Deserved Celebration
After weeks of studying and exams, it was time to celebrate.
To mark the occasion, we took the entire class on a special trip outside of Accra, giving them the chance to relax, have fun, and enjoy time together after all their hard work.
The day was filled with excitement and adventure. Students took on zip lines high above the ground, raced around the go-kart track, enjoyed swimming, tried horse riding, and experienced a range of activities that many had never had the opportunity to do before.
Of course, no celebration would be complete without good food, and everyone enjoyed a delicious meal together while sharing stories and reflecting on their journey through Junior High School.
More than anything, it was wonderful to see the students laughing, celebrating their achievements, and creating memories with friends before heading off on their different paths.
Looking Ahead
While the exams may be over, the excitement isn’t quite finished yet. The countdown to results day is now underway, and we are eagerly waiting alongside the students to see the outcome of all their hard work.
Whatever the results, we know this group has already achieved something remarkable. They have shown determination, perseverance, and a commitment to their education that deserves to be celebrated.
We are incredibly proud of every single student and look forward to following their journeys as they take the next step towards their futures.
