How Much Does It Cost
to Sponsor a Child?
The cost to sponsor a child is £20 a month or £250 for the year. This relatively small amount can make a life-changing difference to a child, ensuring they grow up in a safe environment with access to education and opportunities to thrive.

Monthly Donations
Make a lasting impact. The most effective way to support the children and communities we serve is through monthly donations. For just the cost of your daily coffee, you can help provide a child with the essentials they need to thrive—education, transport, a hot meal, and a safe environment where they can grow and develop.
Sponsor a child
Transform a life. Sponsoring a child is a powerful way to make a lasting difference. For just £20 a month (or £250 per year), you can sponsor a child on one of our projects. Your donation will cover:
- Full-time education for the child
- 2 meals at school each day
- School uniform and books
- Transport to and from school
- Ongoing support from the Akwaaba team
As a sponsor, you’ll receive regular updates on your sponsored child’s progress each term, including what they’ve been learning and achieving. Sponsoring a child not only changes their life—it also allows us to support even more children, giving them the opportunity to receive the education they deserve and break the cycle of poverty.
Every contribution, whether a small monthly donation or a one-off gift, has a huge impact. Together, we can create brighter futures for children in Ghana.
