Meet the Team: Nana & Setornam

We have some very exciting news to share — and two wonderful people we’d love you to meet!

We’re so happy to welcome Nana Baiden and Setornam Nyame to the Akwaaba team. ❤️

For us, Akwaaba has always been about people. The children and families we work with are at the heart of everything we do, but behind every programme, every opportunity and every positive change is a team of people who care deeply about making a difference.

Nana and Setornam have already become a big part of that team, and we honestly couldn’t be happier to have them with us.

Meet Nana

Nana joins us with a degree in Psychology and is already spending lots of time getting to know the children across our programmes.

As our Admin Assistant, she helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, while also bringing her understanding, patience and passion for working with young people to the heart of what we do.

She has already thrown herself into Akwaaba life, and it has been wonderful to see the relationships she is building with the children and the wider team.

Meet Setornam

Setornam joins us with a background in Political science and NGO’s and is our new Project Coordinator.

She is helping us bring ideas to life, keep our projects moving forward and make sure the work we do is organised, effective and sustainable.

She has already brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the team, and we’re excited to see the difference she will make as Akwaaba continues to grow.

Growing Together

Welcoming new people into a small team is always special, but Nana and Setornam already feel like they’ve been part of Akwaaba for much longer.

They have both brought energy, kindness, new ideas and a genuine commitment to our work, and we’re incredibly grateful to have them alongside us.

As Akwaaba grows, so does our responsibility to make sure the projects we build today can continue to create positive change for years to come. Nana and Setornam will play an important role in helping us do exactly that.

So, from all of us at Akwaaba:

Welcome, Nana and Setornam!

We’re so happy you’re here, and we can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes us together.
